Which types of personal data do we collect and why?

We may collect the following information when you contact us, become one of our merchants, confirm a purchase at a merchant website, sign up for a customer account at a merchant website, fill in a form provided by Briqpay or use any of the services provided by Briqpay.

Contacting Briqpay or visiting our website

• Personal and contact details like name, e-mail, telephone number, company name. 
• Information on your device, eg. language settings, IP-address, browser, time zone, platform, operating system, and resolution.
• Geographic information

Why we collect this information: To contact you in regards to our services and to analyze the use of our services in order to be able to give you a better experience. Using third-party solutions like google analytics, HubSpot, or similar.

Creating an account at a merchant webshop using Briqpays services:

• Personal and contact details like name, e-mail, telephone number, company name. 
• Information on your device, eg. language settings, IP-address, browser, time zone, platform, operating system, and resolution.
• Geographic information

In some cases, we might collect credit information, credit history, and other credit information connected to your company or proprietorship, board members, business owners, and other people connected with the business.

Why we collect this information: We collect the information needed to be able to create an account and thereafter be able to purchase goods or services at the merchant webshop. We also use your information to analyze data in order to be able to maintain and develop a good solution.

Completing a purchase in Briqpay Checkout:

• Personal and contact details like name, e-mail, telephone number, company name. 
• Information on your device, eg. language settings, IP-address, browser, time zone, platform, operating system, and resolution.
• Geographic information
• In some cases, we might collect credit information, credit history, and other credit information connected to your company or proprietorship, board members, business owners, and other people connected with the business. 
• When purchasing a product using Briqpays services we will collect information about payment methods, eg. invoice, bank transfer, card, installment.
• Extra information like invoice reference
• Information about the goods/services purchased by you/your company.

Why we collect this information:  We only collect personal information necessary to fulfill an order in the checkout. We also need your information to determine what payment methods and other services we are able to offer to you, eg. by internal and external credit assessments, as well as for risk management and to prevent abuse of our services so we can keep them safe to use for you.

We may use the information we collect to perform, offer, and improve our services.

Information may be shared with third parties connected to the purchase, besides the merchant, this may include payment providers, payment gateways, credit companies or similar providers, suppliers and subcontractors eg. financing partners, logistical companies, or similar.

In some cases, we will share your information with government bodies such as tax agencies or the police. An example of when we are legally obliged to share information with tax agencies or the police is when they require so to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.

If Briqpay purchases or sells assets or businesses, or if Briqpay itself (or parts thereof) is sold, the buyer or seller (as applicable) may get access to your information.

How do we protect your data?

We are committed to securing your personal data and have taken steps in this regard. In order to prevent unauthorized people or parties from being able to access your data, we have put in place a range of technical and organizational measures to safeguard and secure the information we process from you.

Your Rights
