Briqpay for Crystallize

Every payment provider in your Crystallize storefront. One API, B2C and B2B.

Crystallize gives product-rich brands a fast GraphQL backbone for catalogue, content and commerce across markets and languages. Payments are left open by design: Crystallize is payment agnostic, so every provider is an integration your team builds, hosts and maintains.

Briqpay turns that into a single integration. Your storefront renders one checkout that can offer cards, wallets, invoice, buy now pay later, direct bank and B2B payment terms from any provider you have an agreement with. Which methods show up for which market, currency, customer type or cart value is a rule in the Briqpay portal, so adding Vipps in Norway or invoice for Swedish business buyers is a configuration change, not another sprint.

Why Briqpay for Crystallize?

Crystallize teams usually meet the same four payment challenges as they grow:

  • Payment agnostic means payment work. Crystallize stores payment data on the order, but the gateway integration, the webhook handling and the capture logic are yours to build. Every new provider repeats that work.
  • More markets, more local methods. Crystallize handles markets, price lists and translations out of the box. Shoppers do not all pay the same way, though. Norwegians expect Vipps, Swedes expect Swish and invoice, Dutch shoppers expect iDEAL, and each one is normally a separate integration.
  • B2B buyers need different options. Organizations and customer groups can get their own prices in Crystallize, yet most payment integrations only speak consumer. Invoice, payment terms and company checks end up bolted on.
  • Subscriptions need a stored payment method. Subscription contracts in Crystallize define future orders, but every renewal still has to be charged by a provider that can tokenize a card or account and charge it again.

Briqpay solves this.

One integration gives your Crystallize stack a payment layer you control. Crystallize keeps doing what it does best: products, content, prices, carts and orders. Briqpay handles which providers and methods each shopper sees, and gives you one API and one portal to manage every payment afterwards.

Proven on Crystallize: Sandqvist in 44 markets

Swedish bag brand Sandqvist rebuilt its store on Crystallize and Next.js with the agency ZCO, and chose Briqpay for payments. The brand went from 6 to 44 markets in four months. A shopper in Sweden sees Klarna, a shopper in France sees Stripe, and high value carts can surface buy now pay later, all through one integration and without breaking the brand's own checkout design. Read the Sandqvist case study on the Crystallize blog.

How Briqpay fits into a Crystallize checkout

Briqpay sits between your Crystallize backend and your payment providers. A typical flow looks like this:

StepWhat happens
CartThe Crystallize Shop API builds and prices the cart in the shopper's market, currency and language.
Payment sessionYour backend creates a Briqpay session from the cart: order lines, totals, VAT, currency, country and customer type.
CheckoutYour frontend embeds the Briqpay checkout module in the payment step. It works with Next.js, Remix, Astro or any framework you use.
OrderBriqpay confirms the payment to your backend server to server. Your backend places the cart and creates the Crystallize order with the Briqpay reference, provider and method attached.
FulfilmentWhen an order moves through your Crystallize fulfilment flow, a webhook triggers capture, partial capture or refund through the Briqpay order management API.

Payment status is never trusted from the browser. Every confirmation happens server side, which is the same principle Crystallize recommends for any payment integration.

Local payment methods in every market

Crystallize is built in Norway and powers brands across the Nordics and Europe. Briqpay connects to more than 60 payment providers, including Klarna, Adyen, Stripe, Vipps MobilePay, Swish, Trustly, Svea, Qliro, Two, Billie and Riverty. Use the market and currency from your Crystallize cart to decide what each shopper sees, and switch or add providers without touching your frontend. See the full list on our payment methods page.

B2B and B2C from the same storefront

Crystallize models individuals, organizations and customer groups, so one storefront can serve consumers and business buyers with different prices. Briqpay follows the same logic in the checkout:

  • Consumers see cards, wallets, direct bank and buy now pay later.
  • Business buyers get invoice, payment terms and company based checks from B2B providers such as Two, Billie or Svea.
  • Rules decide the rest. Show invoice only above a certain cart value, only for approved customer groups, or only in selected markets.

Subscriptions and recurring orders

Crystallize subscription contracts define what a customer buys, how often and at what price. With a provider that supports tokenization, Briqpay stores the payment method at the first purchase. When a contract triggers a renewal, your backend charges the saved token through the Briqpay API and creates the new Crystallize order. No card details touch your systems.

What you need to get started

  • A Crystallize tenant with access to the Shop API and Core API
  • A backend or serverless function that can create Briqpay sessions and receive webhooks
  • A Briqpay merchant account
  • Agreements with the payment providers you want to offer, signed directly with each provider

Build and test in the Briqpay playground, then switch to production when you are ready.

FAQ

/01

Does Briqpay work with Crystallize's headless architecture?

Yes. Briqpay is API first. Your backend creates a payment session from the Crystallize cart, your frontend embeds the Briqpay checkout, and the order is created in Crystallize once Briqpay confirms the payment.

/02

How do I connect Briqpay to Crystallize?

Through the Briqpay API, the same way Crystallize connects to any payment provider. You integrate once with Briqpay and get access to every provider behind it. Our solution engineers help you map the flow to your stack.

/03

Which payment methods can I offer?

Cards, digital wallets, invoice, buy now pay later, direct bank transfer and B2B payment terms from more than 60 providers, including Klarna, Adyen, Stripe, Vipps MobilePay, Swish and Trustly.

/04

Can I run different providers in different markets?

Yes. Use the market, country and currency from your Crystallize cart to decide which providers and methods each shopper sees. Sandqvist uses this setup across 44 markets.

/05

Does Briqpay support B2B customers in Crystallize?

Yes. Pass the customer type with the session and business buyers get invoice, payment terms and company checks, while consumers see consumer methods.

/06

Can I use Briqpay for Crystallize subscriptions?

Yes, with providers that support tokenization. The payment method is saved at the first purchase and your backend charges it when a subscription contract renews.

/07

How are capture and refund handled?

From the Briqpay merchant portal or the order management API. You can also trigger capture automatically when an order reaches a set stage in your Crystallize fulfilment flow.

/08

Who do I sign contracts with?

You sign directly with your chosen payment providers. Briqpay provides the integration and orchestration platform. We do not handle funds or financial agreements.
